I was thinking about Animal Crossing and realized that in all my years of playing, I've never quite beaten the game. I mean, sure, I've gotten rich and got lots of items and even got my house to be quite sizable... But I never completely upgraded/unlocked the shops. I never paid off ALL of my loans. I never filled up the museum.
But that's all gonna change. I promise that I will complete this game without timeskipping. And I'm gonna document everything here! So let's get started.

July 22nd, 2026 - The Beginning

First, I started my town (obviously) and as soon as I got my housing and mayoral inauguration taken care of, I collected pears (my town fruit) and seashells to sell. I went to the shop and bought a net and a shovel. I found a perfect pear and decided to plant it with the shovel I bought, now I just have to hope it stays alive...
I also decided to catch some bugs and dig up some fossils to start on my museum as early as possible. Then I shook some trees and found a CD shelf (yay!) You know, the usual. Not much else to talk about...
(Also, I used to have this EXACT chopped ass haircut and color.)

July 23rd, 2026

I paid off my first loan today! I also checked on my development permit status and my approval rating is currently 19%. I bought a fishing rod from the shop and immediately started fishing to fill up my museum some more.
I also checked who was moving in soon. Pietro!!! He's so cute, I'm excited for him to move into my town.
I picked some flowers to save for later when I start breeding them. I don't think there's much else to do today in my town...
But wait. It's tarantula and scorpion season. Why not do some hunting and get it out of the way so I don't have to wait til next summer? So I screwed around until 7:00PM and then began my hunt. They spawn more at 11:00PM so I wasn't too active in the game until then.
First, I managed to catch a tarantula! It wasn't too hard but I was so happy when I finally found one and caught it. I heard it scuttling around first so I was very much prepared. I saw another tarantula and tried to catch it but it bit me LOL.
While looking for a scorpion, I caught an arapaima and an oak silk moth! So I suppose I got lucky in a different way.
Suddenly, I got too tired to continue hunting for the scorpion... So I've decided to continue my hunt tomorrow.

July 24th, 2026

Today, I was able to pay off my home loan and plan for the expansion of my house! My approval rating is also at 44% now, which is quite a big leap from where I was yesterday. I want to get my approval rating to 100% as quickly as possible.
So I decided, why not design my very own town flag? I ended up using a reference image to create a drawing of a choux pastry (my namesake). It came out so cute! Then, I created a cute little town tune.
Doing these things raised my approval rating to 50%. I'm halfway there! Now I just need to see if any villagers need some help. Goldie invited me to hang out and sold me her wooden stool. Broffina needed a 2x2 piece of furniture to replace her whirlpool bath, but I couldn't find anything...
Redd came to my town today. I bought an amazing painting from him. I'm pretty sure it's not a forgery (I always use a guide because I don't have time for his bullshit).
I ended the day with a 68% approval rating. I would've continued my scorpion hunt but I ended up playing Minecraft with my boyfriend instead.

July 25th, 2026

So, Dizzy is moving into my town soon and Tortimer came by to tell me about the island. I also paid off my 98k loan and made plans to expand my house again! Not much else to talk about...
Oh, wait.
My approval rating is 100%!!!
Now the game can REALLY start.
And tomorrow when the island opens, I'm gonna hunt beetles for hours.

July 26th, 2026

I didn't start playing until like 6:00PM lol. BUT I did catch some beetles and enact the Bell Boom ordinance.
I think I'm gonna start a new New Horizons island tonight.
